LAGOS EAST BYE-ELECTION: MILE 12 MARKET ENDORSES TOKUNBO ABIRU


The candidate of All Progressives Congress for the Lagos East Senatorial bye-election, Mr. Tokunbo Abiru has taken his campaign to the famous Mile 12 International Market in Lagos. Arriving the famous food items market, the APC Candidate and the Lagos East campaign team, including Ashipa Kaoli Olusanya (Chairman) and Chief Bode Oyedele (Vice Chairman) were received by the Chairman of Mile 12 International Market, Alhaji Shehu Usman and other leaders of the market. Alhaji Usman, who spoke in Hausa, Yoruba and English pledge the loyalty and steadfastness of the traders in the market, especially the Hausa traders.

"We are always with the Progressives and for the party to have chosen Tokunbo Abiru, it shows he's the right man to represent us at the Senate", Alhaji Shehu Usman said. Alhaji Mukaila Jaiyeola (Chairman of Yam Flour Traders in Mile 12 Market) said politics is important for traders too as they are stakeholders in decision making. He said Tokunbo Abiru will represent their interest too at the Senate and they are in full support of him as the bye-election draws nearer. 

Women are not left out in the campaign as the Iyaloja of Mile 12 International Market, Alhaja Iyabo Ahmed said Mr. Tokunbo Abiru is a lucky man as he was received happily with all the traders in the market, including the Hausas, Igbos and Yorubas in the market. 

APC candidate for the Kosofe Constituency 2 bye-election, Hon. Femi Saheed was also there and the traders also endorse him for the October 31 bye-election. 

He said he will be the audible and impacting voice of Ikosi-Isheri and Agboyi-Ketu in Lagos State House of Assembly. While addressing the traders, Tokunbo Abiru, a former Lagos State Commissioner of Finance said he was overwhelmed by the reception he and his team got from the traders, including the Hausa musicians. 

I can't afford to fail the people of Lagos East as my predecessors had laid down good records that I can only make better of for the people of Lagos East Senatorial District as you vote for APC en masse on October 31 to make me Senator representing Lagos East", Tokunbo Abiru said. Council Chairmen Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu (Somolu), Mayor Dele Oshinowo (Agboyi-Ketu), Bldr 'Sesan Daini (Igbogbo-Baiyeku), and Princess Bolanle Bada (Ikosi-Isheri) among others were also at the Campaign.
