SOMOLU LG CHAIRMAN 'DULLAR' SET TO REBUILD PRIMARY SCHOOL



In a bid to create a positive learning environment for pupils and staff members of Wesley Primary School in Ijebutedo area of Somolu Community, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu led administration of Somolu Local Government is set to rebuild the school. 

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu has revealed his developmental plans to put in place the reconstruction of the dilapidated buildings within the school.

This educational project will serve as a powerful tool to further help in stimulating the pupil's concentration towards adequate learning and also enhance their mindsets for more positive impacts in the society.

According to the Multiple Award Winning Chairman who values the quality of education, especially at the grassroot, he said the proposed building will have ten (10) Classrooms, Staff offices, Educational Facilities, Information Communication Centre (ICT) Rooms, Sick-Bay including Modern Toilets, and the duration for the reconstruction would take up to five months to be completed.

"Education as a discipline, it's needed to instill in younger ones, core values, knowledge to develop their sense of reasoning and improve their skills." The Council Chairman said he so much believe education as it is a primary determinant of development of a nation. 

According to Alhaji Kabir Raji (Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure), the school building will be an educational edifice where creativity speaks on construction.

In his words, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu said more schools will be rehabilitated to suite the modern day educational need and conform with the technological knowledge need of today's children.
