APATIRA CONFER WITH SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD


The Executive Chairman of Itire-ikate LCDA, Hon (Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira was conferred with a Special Recognition Award as the *Most Innovative Local Government Chairman of The Year* by the prestigious AFRICAN EYE MAGAZINE, Today, Wednesday, 16th September, 2020.

The publisher of African Eye Magazine, Ms Juliet Maduka presented the award to the industrious and amiable council boss at the council secretariat.


Ms Maduka opined that the award was in recognition of Dr. Apatira huge and enviable commitments towards ensuring adequate welfare for the residents of Itire-Ikate LCDA.

According to Ms Maduka, "By coopting Street Landlords and Tenants Association, NO Street was left untouched, As Dr. Apatira personally spearheads the distribution of COVID-19 stimulus packages in Five (5) Separate Batches adopting a random, apolitical, unbiased process to cut across member of all ethnicity within the three communities in Itire-Ikate.
 
"Also Targeting the Elderly, Widows, Less Privileged, Youths and Vulnerable, The Executive Chairman Complemented and extended the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Daily Meal Program to Nine (9) Feeding Points into and throughout the Islamic month of Ramadan with Free Ifta/Evening Daily Meal to cushion the effects of the Lockdown amid COVID-19 Epidemic Outbreak."



She added that it is not out of place to extol the great virtues of the council helmsman notably Ingenuity, Hardwork, Integrity, Resourcefulness, Outstanding And Uncommon Achievement in service to humanity.

The Media outfit while presenting the award stated that with the inconsteable attributes of the council boss, it is safe to say his consistent dedication to initiating developmental projects and ensuring positive transformation of the communities of Itire-Ikate LCDA has earned him this remarkable success and accolades.

Furthermore, I humbly crave your indulgence not to view this recognition as a yardstick of assessment for been at the zenith of your excellent and positive performances, rather it should act as a catalyst to be more productive and subsequently raise the bar of development in the communities of Itire-Ikate LCDA, said Ms Juliet.

"I am highly appreciative of this award, and further believe it will spur me on to remain focus and continue on the track of sincere desire of making Itire-Ikate LCDA the cynosure of our dear state, Dr. Apatira".
