Residents and stakeholders of the Ifako Ijaiye were given a blank cheque to air their views and perspectives on the administration of Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat as he marks his 100 days in office as the Chairman Ifako Ijaiye local Council Development Area, as it organized the 1st Town Hall meeting to give account of stewardship to celebrate his 100days in office.
The 1st town hall meeting has in attendance political leaders,House of Assembly Member,immediate-past Assembly Member, religious leaders, market women,Artisans,and the youths in the local government.
The Chairman Hon. Usman Akanbi Hamzat during his speech said at the handover ceremony, he reiterated and unwavering determination to implement every details of "UAH H.E.E.D.S agenda for a Greater ifako ijaiye with the aim to deliver on his campaign promises.
He said for 100 days in office his administration choose to focus on soft projects like empowerment, job creation, sports development, skills acquisition development, structural review of local government activities, entrepreneurship and business support initiatives, and embarking on a sizeable numbers of roads and school rehabilitation with preliminary fixing of health services basic needs.
He also appreciated the citizens and residents of ifako ijaiye local government for their support which is highly appreciated and valued, also asked them to continue supporting their administration, while not shying away from offering their constructive criticism where they feel they are not performing to their expectations.
The special adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on development agenda for Western Nigeria Engineer Adekunle Olayinka while speaking to journalists said the administration of Hon.Hamzat is highly remarkable and giving him a pass mark by setting up an agenda for himself and his administration and following it up on infrastructure, Environment, healthcare services, welfare and also prayed God should empower him more for the development of ifako ijaiye local government.
The House of Assembly Member Representing Ifako Ijaiye local government constituency 1 Hon Temitope Adewale said the chairman has done well in the area of empowerment, Youth Sporting event,structural development, primary health care and a lot of development going in on around ifako ijaiye.
The immediate past Assembly Member Hon. Saka Fafunmi,and the CDA commented that what Prince Hamzat has done is an achievement that needs to be encouraged and appreciated, he said Hamzat has really preformed well in his 100 days in office.
Presentation of trophies to winners of the football competition climaxed the event.
